Fregenda – Fiesta del Almendro (February/March)
In Fregenda, people celebrates the almond blossoming with a festival which takes place in February or March. According to the tradition people cross the River Duero in a boat to get to Portugal.
Ciudad Rodrigo – Carnaval del Toro (February)
The “Carnaval del Toro” is one of the oldest carnival in Spain and it is a great tourist attraction. It is celebrated in February. During this festival bull fighting goes on throughout the four days of the carnival.
Alberca – Festa della Virgen de la Asunción (August 15)
On the day of the Virgin of August, there is a special, colourful and impressive celebration along the streets. On the following day there is a theatre performance which is known as Loa. People dress in their traditional cloths and perform devils and angels, surrounded by an impressive medieval atmosphere.
