Markets
Near the Plaza Mayor, in the Mercado Central, you can find local products, such as sausages, eggs, fruit, vegetables and cheese as well as arts and craft objects. You can also look around in the Mercado de San Juan in Calle Velarde. Every Sunday morning in Avda. de Aldehuela a lovely flea market known as Rastro is held where you can buy a lot of cheap things.
Around Christmas time, during the Holy Week and during Salamanca Festivities there is held another nice little market in Plaza de los Bandos. Here you can find clothes, leather objects as well as local arts and crafts.

You can find shops as Zara, Mango, Cortefiel in Calle Toro and Calle Zamora. If you are looking for some local products, look around Calle Melendelez and do not miss the shop Artesana Hernández.
In Avenida de Salamanca you will find the popular shopping centre El Tormes with a lot of shops, restaurants and even a cinema.
